Mr Marco Buchmann is currently working on his PhD dissertation at Goethe University Frankfurt. He has been working as a research assistant at KfW Banking Group (Economics Department), the Chair for Macroeconomics and Finance at Goethe University, and currently as a research assistant at the ECB Econometrics Modelling Division. Research interests: Semi- and Nonparametric econometrics in macroeconomics, Nonparametric time series analysis and forecasting

Mehmet Ekinci has been a gradute student at the University of Rochester Department of Economics since September 2005. He previously completed a Masters in Economics at the Uniiversity of Houston and worked as an assistant expert in State Planning Organization of Turkey. Research interests: Open Economy Macroeconomics; International Finance

Currently a predoctoral research student in Economics at Catholic University of Leuven. As a Fulbright Scholar, holds a MA degree from State University of New York - Binghamton, USA (2008) where his masters project was "Indeterminate Equilibria in New Keynesian DSGE Model: An Application to US Great Moderation". His second MA degree is from Bogazici University, Istanbul where his masters project was "A new Test of Uncovered Interest Rate Parity: Evidence from Turkey. Research interests: Macroeconomics, International Finance, Economic Growth and Fluctuations, Applied Time Series Econometrics

Mr. Paolo Gelain has obtained his PhD from the University of Pisa (Italy) on May 2008 defending a thesis on the monetary policy analysis of the Euro Area using a DSGE model incorporating credit frictions. He has previously studied at The University of York (UK) where he got a Master of Science in Economics (with distinction). He has been visiting student at The University Pompeu Fabra (Spain). He is now (June-Sept. 2008) visiting researcher at the Central Bank of Estonia and he has been appointed for an internship at the European Central Bank for the period Oct.-Dec. 2008. Research interests: Monetary Economics, Monetary Policy in the Euro Area, New Keynesian DSGE models, Optimal Control Theory, Optimal Monetary Policy Rules, Applied Macroeconometrics, Bayesian Methods

Ana Grdovic Gnip graduated in 2005 at the Department of economics and tourism Dr.Mijo Mirkovic in Pula with the major in finance, defending the thesis "Econometric analysis of Croatian good exchange (import vs. export)". After some working experience in two companies, from December 2007 she is assistant at the University of Pula, Department of economics and tourism, track: finance, major: public finance and comparative fiscal systems. Research interests: Public economy; Public finance; Tax systems; Comparative fiscal systems; Relation between Monetary and Fiscal policy

Matthew Harding is Assistant Professor of Economics at Stanford University. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Economics from MIT and an M.Phil. in Economics from Oxford University. His research focuses on the development of econometric techniques for high-dimensional data. In particular he works on the development of factor models in combined macroeconomic and financial models in order to understand the interconnections between world markets. His publications have appeared in important journals such as the International Economic Review and the Journal of Econometrics. Research interests: econometrics, macro-finance

Mr. Safdar Ullah Khan has been Assistant Director in Research Department, State Bank of Pakistan (central bank) since September 2003. His M.Phil in Economics was from Quaid-i-Azam University (2002) where his thesis was “The Role of Financial Sector development in Economic Growth: A cross-country analysis”. Research interests: Open Economy; Macroeconomics; Growth; Applied Econometrics

Leonardo Melosi is a Ph.D student of Economics at the University of Pennsilvania (USA) since July 2004. He received the MSc of international economics at the Graduate Institute of International Studies (Geneva, CH) and the B.A. of economics at Luiss University (Rome, IT). He has been awarded the Bank of Italy scholarship (Bonaldo Stringher) in 2004. Research interests: Macroeconometrics, Monetary Economics, Applied Macroeconomics.

Blagica Petreski graduated from the University in Bitola in 2006, major Accounting, Finance and Auditing, focusing on International finance. Since 2006, she has attended post-graduate studies at the Faculty of Economics in Skopje, in Monetary economics and is currently working on the MSc thesis. Since 2007, she has been employed as a Senior economist in Stopanska Banka AD Skopje, in the Directorate for Preparation of financial statements and Application of International Financial Reporting Standards. Research interests: Monetary economics, banking, finance, financial markets

Rached Bouaziz is Professor of Economics at the University of Carthage 7 Novembre Tunisia since january 2006. He was previously an assistant professor at the university of Manar Tunisia. His doctoral dissertation (October 2004) in Economics was “the Impact of Relative Price Change on Inflation: A Contribution to Microeconomics Foundation of Macroeconomics” (A New Keynesian Persepectives). He collaborates with the “Observatoire de la Conjoncture” a government institution concerned by business cycle in Tunisia. Research interests: Monetary Economics; Monetary Policy; Business Cycle Analysis, Development analysis.

Dr. Juan R. Trapero received the Ingeniero Industrial degree in 2003 from the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, (UCLM, Spain); his M.B.A in 2004 and his European Ph. D. in 2008 both at UCLM. His research interests include system identification mainly developed in continuous-time with application in forecasting, signal processing and control. Research interests: He has published several articles using the novel algebraic identification methodology developed by M. Fliess and H. Sira-Ramírez applied to the frequency estimation in real-time. He is interested in aplying frequency estimation techniques (mainly algebraic methodology) to the business cycle analysis.

Dr Miroslav Verbic has been a research fellow at the Institute of Economic Reserach, where he is employed since 2003 and a lecturer of macroeconomics at the University of Ljubljana since 2008. He earned his MSc in Econometrics from the University of Amsterdam and his PhD in Economics (OLG-CGE modelling) from the University of Ljubljana (2007). Research interests: Econometrics, OLG-CGE modelling, pension systems, tax systems, DSGE modelling
