Andre Jungmittag

Prof. Dr. Andre Jungmittag is Professor for Economics and Quantitative Methods at the University of Applied Sciences Frankfurt am Main. His areas of expertise are econometric analysis, innovations and growth in open economies, innovation and industrial economics. Furthermore, he was involved in comprehensive analyses of the economic and technological performance of several industrial and service sectors. He has more than 15 years of experience in managing and implementing research projects for various clients, including the German Federal Government, the European Commission as well as academic foundations ad business decision makers. Prof. Dr. Andre Jungmittag holds a German “habilitation” in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Wuppertal in 2005. His “habilitation” thesis on “International Innovation Dynamics, Specialisation and Economic Growth” was awarded the Wolfgang Ritter prize 2007. Furthermore, his doctoral dissertation at the University of Münster was on “Long-term Relations and Short-term Dynamics between Foreign Direct Investment and Exports" (summa cum laude, was awarded the dissertation prize of the University of Münster), and he holds a diploma in Economics from the same university. He published several articles in refereed academic journals as well as several books and contributions to books. Besides his full professorship at the University of Applied Sciences Frankfurt am Main, he is a Visiting Professor at the Graduate School of Business and Economics Lahr and a Visiting Lecturer (“Privatdozent”) for Economics and Econometrics at the University of Wuppertal.
