Emil Stavrev

Dr. Eml Stavrev has been economist at the IMF since April 2001. He was previously a senior economist at the Economic Modeling Division of the Czech National Bank from March 1997 to March 2001. Dr. Stavrev holds a PhD in Economics from the Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education in Prague (1999). His doctoral dissertation was “Essays on Transition”. The dissertation consists of several essays related to economies in transition, with the first part (3 essays) dealing with continuous time macro-economic modeling and the second part (2 essays) estimating demand systems for households based on household budget surveys.
