Harald Stieber

Economist, European Commission, Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs

Mr Stieber was an economist with the Austrian Ministry of Finance since September 2002. He has been a member of the Working Party 1 of the Economic Policy Committee of the OECD since 2002 and has been seconded to the OECD Economics Department in 2004. Mr Stieber has been an affiliated researcher with the economics departments at the Vienna University of Technology and the University of Klagenfurt, Austria, after receiving his master degree in economics from the University of Vienna in 2001. He is currently an Economic and Financial Desk Officer with the European Commission, Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs.

Research interests:
Structural macroeconometric models, economic growth (Schumpeterian growth theory, fiscal growth theory), empirical analysis of structural policies (labour market institutions, product market and financial market regulation), European integration
