Heike Joebges
Senior Economist, Macroeconomic Policy Institute (IMK)
Dr Heike Joebges has been Senior Economist at the Macroeconomic Policy Institute (IMK) since March 2007. She previously worked as an economist for exchange rates at the Research Department of the BayernLB (Bank in Munich) from 2005 to 2007. Her PhD in Economics was from the Freie Universitaet Berlin (2005). Her doctoral dissertation was on the transmission of currency crises. She spent a year as a Fox International Research Fellow at Yale University (New Haven, CT).
Research interests:
Econometric forecasting, simulation analysis (especially for the euro area), euro area growth, monetary and fiscal policy
