Hiona Balfoussia

Dr Hiona Balfoussia joined the Economic Research Department of the Bank of Greece in 2005. Prior to that she had worked as an intern analyst for the ECB and the Bank of England, and as a research fellow for the University of York and the National Bank of Greece. She completed her PhD in Economics and Finance at the University of York on “S.D.F. models of the term structure – Observable and latent macroeconomic sources of time-varying bond risk premia and their significance in modelling inflation".
Research interests:
the interaction between the macro economy and financial markets, asset pricing, monetary policy, applied econometrics
