Itai Agur is an economist at the Research Department of the Dutch Central Bank. He joined the Bank in July of 2008, after completing his PhD at the European University Institute in Florence. Chapters from his dissertation have won two awards: the 2007 Young Economist Award of the European Economic Association, and the 2008 Arrow Award for for the best paper by a junior economist in all of the BE Press Journals. His current work focusses on theoretical modelling of financial stability, banking and interaction with the real economy. He has previously worked on international trade.
