Marjan Petreski (1982) is an Econometrician in the area of financial stability in the Central bank of the Republic of Macedonia. Formerly (2006-2008), he worked as a Macroeconomic modeller and forecaster in the Ministry of Finance. As of 2006 he is a part-time Lecturer of Statistics and International finance at the University of American College - Skopje. Formerly he lectured Managerial accounting (2006); Monetary policy and banking (2007); Research methods (2008) and Financial planning (2009). He obtained his BSc degree in Finance (2005) from the University of Bitola and his MSc degree in International finance and banking (2006) from the University of Sheffield. He obtained postgraduate certificates in European Integration (2007) from the Centre International de Formation Européenne in Berlin and in Research Methods (2008) from Staffordshire University. As of 2007 he is a PhD candidate at Staffordshire University, as a scholarship grantee, and researches on "Investigating and modelling a monetary-policy regime switch from exchange-rate targeting to inflation targeting with particular reference to Macedonia". He has participated in several trainings from the area of macroeconomics and applied econometrics: European Central Banking (2006) at Goethe Universitat and the European Central Bank in Frankfurt; Macroeconomic management (2007) and Macroeconomic forecasting (2008) at the Joint Vienna Institute; Budget execution (2007) at the Centre of Excellence in Finance in Ljubljana; Econometric model selection (2008) and Advanced meta-regression analysis (2008) at the University of Oxford; Advanced macro-econometric modelling and forecasting (2009) at JTC Economics training in Skopje; Dynamic panel data models and non-linear panel data models (2009) at the University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. Petreski is a fellow of the Euro Area Business Cycle Network. A field of his academic interest is international finance and central banking, as well as time-series analysis, dynamic panel econometrics and macro-econometric models. In the last few years he is actively involved in quantitative research methods and applied econometrics. Researches and publishes plenty of studies in referred academic journals and working papers from the areas of interest and participates on domestic and international conferences.
