Marta Bozina Beros graduated cum laude in 2003 at the Faculty of Law University in Zagreb after which she pursued her postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Economics University of Zagreb. In 2007 she obtained her Master's degree defending the thesis on the "Legal Aspects of Money and Monetary Sovereignty in Croatia". In 2012 she obtained her PhD in Economics from the Faculty of Economics University of Ljubljana with a thesis on "Regulation and supervision of financial assets, transactions and markets in EU countries and Croatia". After her work experience in the Croatian diplomatic service, she chose to pursue a career in academics, first as a Research assistant at the Faculty of Economics University of Zagreb and then as a Research assistant at the Faculty of Economics University of J.Dobrila in Pula.
She was a Research associate at the CCLS-Queen Mary University in London, UK, invited scholar at the UNIDROIT international organization in Rome, Italy and a Visiting researcher at the Graduate School of Finance, Accounting and Law at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan.
During her PhD studies she has been awarded the UNIDROIT research scholarship as well as the Japan Foundation Intellectual Exchange Fellowship.
