Dr Matteo Pelagatti has been Assistant Professor of Economic Statistics at the University of Milan-Bicocca since April 2002. His PhD in Statistics was from University of Milan, where his doctoral dissertation was “Markov Chain Monte Carlo Methods for Dynamic Models with Applications to the Business Cycle Analysis".
Dr Matteo Pelagatti has been consultant for different companies (SAS, SPSS, Astrazeneca, Etnoteam, among the others). At the moment he's working on a project with Assolombarda for building a business cycle indicator for the Milan area.
Research interests:
Time Series Analysis, Business Cycle Measurement, MCMC techniques, State-Space Models, Markov-Switching Models, Electricity Markets, Conditional Variances and Correlation Models, Price Index Theory and Applications.
