Michael Devereux is a professor of economics at the University of British Columbia. He has worked primarily on open economy macroeconomics and exchange rates, including topics such as the modeling of exchange rate pass-through, fixed versus flexible exchange rates, the macroeconomics of emerging market economies, and more recently, has worked on models of portfolio choice in an open economy.
