Szilard Benk

Senior Advisor to Executive Director, International Monetary Fund

Szilard Benk has been Senior Advisor to Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund. Prior to this, he held positions at the Hungarian Ministry for National Economy, the Fiscal Council of Hungary, Magyar Nemzeti Bank and the European Central Bank. He holds a PhD from Central European University. His research is focused on the role of credit and financiai innovations in affecting the monetary and real business cycle, macroeconomic modeling, fiscal policy and modeling fiscal consolidations.
