Dr. Christian Dreger is a senior economist at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) since October 2005. Previously, he worked as a researcher at the Institute for Economic Research in Halle. He received his PhD and habilitation in Economics from the University of Kassel, Germany. He has worked on many projects for the EU Commission and German Ministries.
Research interests:
Macroeconometric modelling, business cycle and regional forecasting methods, impact of institutions on the macroeconomic performance, spatial econometrics, monetary economics
