Eva is a PhD from the European University Institute (Florence, Italy). Her thesis topic was the econometric evaluation of DSGE models and her main advisor was Prof.Fabio Canova. In 1997 she joined the Research Department of the Bank of Spain, and worked as a researcher on the field of applied macroeconomics until 2003. Then she moved to the Research Department of the Bank of Canada to head the division of Macroeconomic Studies for two years. In 2005 she returned to the Bank of Spain to head its Modelling Unit.
